Small Doses Wins Best TV Pilot at LA Comedy Festival
A special thank you to two awesome LA film festivals.
We here at Gray Hour have a lot to be thankful for this year. The whole team just returned from our trip to LA where we had our west coast premiere of Small Doses at LA Comedy Festival and O, The Ennui at the No Budget Film Festival. We’ve got to give some big shout outs to both of these festivals for giving us New Yorkers a great west coast experience.
First up, we were psyched to be part of LA Comedy Festival this year. We (obviously) love comedy, and getting to see so much hilarious, diverse work day in and out was a treat for us. Not only were we happy to be programmed into such a solid laugh-fest, we’re incredibly happy that Small Doses won Best TV Pilot at LACF! We’re still in a bit of shock over that considering how great the festival was, so it’s certainly a great honor for us. So thanks to them for the welcoming experience!
Then we have No Budget Film Festival, which we also need to thank profusely. Not only did they include O, The Ennui in their legitimately perfect programming (seriously, amazing), but they were also kind enough to house us for the weekend so we could all come out west and celebrate with them. And let me tell you… those folks know how to party. No Budget was a total blast, jam-packed with excellent films, panels, and events. If you’re a west-coaster, definitely keep an eye out when it rolls around next year. We certainly will be (after we wake up from our party comas).
Between those 2 festivals and NYTVF, it’s been an exciting Fall for us. And while we’re getting ready to finally kick back and relax for the holidays, we’ve got plenty of things coming down the pipe. A few small updates are still coming before 2014 ends, so stay tuned!
